2006 Hyundai Sonata LX 3.3
Summary:
Great car for the money
Faults:
The windshield wiper fluid not working on several trips to Canada once it got too cold during winters of 2007 and 2008. Started working after it warmed up. I'm in NC and was amazed at the abuse some cars take in the northern climates.
As mentioned in numerous reviews, I occasionally have the sound like something is loose in the trunk when hitting a big bump.
General Comments:
The wife is the main driver and she fell in love with the V6. She had been driving an Accord 4 cylinder for about 6 years.
I spent the morning giving the interior a good clean up, and am surprised on how well it has held up over the last 4 1/2 years. Leather is in very good shape.
When I first got the car, I thought there were a few cheap looking items inside (compared to my old Legend), like the door handles, but after the 4 years they don't look bad. I'm really surprised. I believe we spent $21500 for the car brand new. It was about the price of an Accord without leather and without the V6, so that was the main reason we gave Hyundai a try. 10 year warranty didn't hurt.
My wife believes she hears something when she makes a turns in the morning before the car gets warmed up, but I can't really say I have, and the dealership couldn't either.
Overall, the car has held up really well, and I have to believe it's one of the fastest 0-60 sedans available for the money.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Wife main driver: explain that pouring summer fluid inside the windshield washer reservoir will cause the pump to freeze and stop working in cold weather.
