Interior is classy and is very roomy!
I downsized from a SUV -- I just love this car.
It is easy to handle and a gas saver.
I test drove the 4 cylinder and the 6 cylinder -- if you want to save more on gas, if you don't travel much, go for the 4 cylinder.
This is a great family car.

This car is comfortable, classy, AND fun!
The interior of this car has an oddly aesthetic quality that I love.
It's REALLY fun to drive anytime but especially at night.
I love the handling and smooth ride compared to my 98 Olds Intrigue.
The standard features on a Hyundai would cost someone A LOT extra in another brand.
I have driven this car 75 miles now and the gas gauge isn't even below a 3/4 of a tank now. A BIG improvement over my Oldsmobile.

Now have more than 90,000 miles on my 2009 Sonata. Still love this car. Only things since last post have been normal maintenance items... tires, brakes, oil & filters, etc. Still just a solid car. Absolutely no regrets. It's a keeper and my wife loves it. Hopefully for many more miles.
Hi - is your Sonata the 4-cylinder or the V6? Please do keep posting updates. Good to know they last the distance.
Original Poster... Update on our 2009 Sonata purchased new and 2008 purchased used at 30,000 miles.
Our 2009 Sonata is a 4 cylinder. We currently have 104,000 miles. Still running great. Still using Mobil 1 synthetic oil and having normal service items done. Body and interior still look great, and the car rides incredibly smooth and solid. We hope to get 200,000 or more out of both vehicles.
Our 2008 Sonata (4 cylinder) now has about 94,000 miles. The only thing done so far other than normal service items was replacement of the drivers side window regulator. It seems just as smooth as the 2009. Both very dependable with good MPG.
We have used a couple of different service centers over the years that we have owned both cars, and all have been "top notch".

The car now has 52,000 miles. Other than scheduled maintenance, I've replaced the battery and had to replace a wheel bearing under warranty. No hassle repair. Since I purchased this car new, I've also purchased a used 2008 Sonata. Also doing great.
I'm using 100% synthetic oil and going 7,000 miles between changes. Good looks, great price, great dealer service, great ride.
