2004 Hyundai Tucson GLS V6
Summary:
Great features and value for the price
Faults:
There is a vibrating noise from the instrument cluster under heavy acceleration when the engine RPMs are about 3900. Dealer is baffled.
I had to have the occupant sensor under the passenger seat replaced.
When accelerating up a long moderately sloping hill, transmission doesn't seem to want to shift out of 2nd gear (it's an automatic). Dealer claims I'm imagining it.
General Comments:
Otherwise I am very pleased with this car. Considering how much it cost, you cannot get a better value for your money! I am a little disappointed with the mileage; I get about 21.5MPG on the highway, but it is a V6 so what do you expect... I plan to keep this until I drive it into the ground. And it's a good thing, too, because Hyundais have very poor resale value. But I like mine.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
