1992 Isuzu Rodeo XS V6
Summary:
I'll hang onto to this sweet rodeo until the wheels fall off!
Faults:
About a year after I bought the SUV a tiny spring in the drivers side door broke and I could only open the door from the outside. Isuzu dealership wanted to sell me the whole door mechanism for $85.00, however, I bought a similar spring from Ace Hardware for 50 cents and the door latch works fine now. Also around the same time a spring broke on the the rear brakes (passenger side) I replaced it with a spring kit from a local parts store. $20.00 Never any problems with springs again. 2 years later I had to have the master cylinder replaced $100.00 and now 4 years later I just had to have the rear bearings and seals replaced $400.00. $520.00 for a 12 year old vehicle is excellent.
General Comments:
The very best vehicle I've ever had. I've owned a 1985 Toyota Celica when it was 8-11 years old and spent a fortune on repairs. A 1987 Mercury Cougar...junk, a 1991 Ford Ranger, good little truck, but nothing beats my 1992 Isuzu Rodeo. I wanted to buy a newer Rodeo recently, but the reviews were horrible,
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I LOVE my 92Rodeo.
I live in Baja and I'm 16, and it used to be my grandfather`s. I think he regrets it cause now I take my Isuzu Rodeo to the beach, take it up hills, go in the mud, burnouts, I do everything in my Rodeo!
I LOVE it! The only problem I'm having with it is that I need to fix the radiator, and I hate that my Rodeo isn't 4x4.
It's a great fun SUV. I'm going to buy another Isuzu Rodeo.
