1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0 H.O.
Summary:
Great and reliable
Faults:
The Jeep is a 95 Cherokee with a 4 inch superlift, 4.56 gears front and rear, with a Detroit locker in the rear. Sitting on 32 inch pro comps.
It has been a wheeling truck since 125,000 miles. I bought it from someone I knew.
At 170,000, I blew a head gasket, MUDDING of course.
At 173,000, I killed all eight track arm bushings on the front axle. Bent a front driveshaft, and replaced the hubs, even though they weren't too bad. This is all because of MORE MUDDING.
General Comments:
These things go forever if you treat them well. My last Jeep was 1991 Jeep Cherokee automatic 4 liter, and I blew an oil pump mudding with 230,000 miles.
I do not hesitate to hold back on my Jeeps. So stuff breaks. Jeepers creed: BUILD IT, DRIVE IT, BREAK IT, FIX IT, REPEAT!
But overall, pretty much one of the most solid SUVs out there in the American market. Japan doesn't even come close.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I regularly drive around tight ineterstate exit cloverleafs at >45mph without tipping my jeep over, so obviously your problem isn't the Jeep, its you and no you shouldn't buy another Jeep since you obviously don't know how to maintain it.
