Faults:
This is a very interesting story. I found someone selling this Jeep, test drove it, and loved it. I purchased it a few days later and drove it home, and then went to go out that night in it and it wouldn't start. The initial frustrations filled my mind about getting conned, but after having the Jeep towed to a Jeep Mechanic, I found that the Crank Sensor was bad, and after spending a total of 200 dollars to replace it, the Cherokee has ran great.
The speaker in the drivers door was not functioning, but after taking the panel off, I merely found that one of the wires had come off of the wiring harness, and a quick soldiering job fixed that problem.
The only upgrade I have done was to put a new CD player in to upgrade from the stock tape deck.
General Comments:
I absouletly love this Jeep. I couldn't of been happier with any other vechical. The room in the back is great with the passanger seats down, and I transport stuff that my friends can only dream would fit in their cars.
The capabilities of this car are great, with a very powerful six cylinder engine with great speed and acceleration.
Handeling is a dream, and driving this car is very comfortable. It doesn't feel big or hard to handel. The design allows almost full vision all around the car, and it is very responsive.
Offroad the Jeep dominates, and I have gone places that I wouldn't even consider going to in any other vehical.
The interior has a very nice and easy to use layout, and the seats are quite comfortable.
I have fallen in love with this car, and even with close to 90000 miles on it, I feel as though it is built strong and in it for the long haul.

I agree about getting a carfax done. I bought my 99 with 30001 off a lease at a dealer, and 70000 miles later in 3 years, I still was very happy with my jeep. Problems with window electronics, but I never had any problems with my t-case. I think that the whole vehicle was a wonderful cross between daily driver and mountain explorer, as long as it was properly maintained. I'm sad that I no longer have mine.
