Faults:

The automatic door lock motor went out.

The right passenger side mirror won't tighten.

Rear window wiper doesn't work.

General Comments:

My jeep rides great, very comfortable.

Handles great in the snow and ice.

I had hoped for a little better gas mileage.

Have only had my jeep one month, but am very satisfied so far, although a little nervous after reading more reviews.

Faults:

Needed fluid changes and brakes, previous owner was a chump.

Loud inside the cabin, but it's a Jeep and this is common knowledge.

One tire is out of balance.

None of these problems are from bad design, but from cheap and irresponsible owners maintenance.

General Comments:

This car feels like one of the most solid vehicles I've owned. (GM, Honda, Toyota, dodge, Nissan, Ford)

Pretty good acceleration.

Decent gas mileage (better on the highway)

Smooth transmission.

Very solid in 4x4.

Hard to roll, even in high speed corners.

Faults:

Engine Blew at 65,000 miles due to coolant leak.

Electric windows only worked from driver side control (2003)

Blower Motor breakdown (2005)

AC lines shot (2005)

Check Engine light on/off periodically (2005) (Diagnostic test revealed evaporation leak, but can't be pinpointed... not fixed to this day).

Back end rattles.. sounds like trunk hatch not secure, but it is? (2005)

General Comments:

Love the look, looks good all waxed (Candy apple red)

Not very spacious (I'm 6'2 and feel cramped in front seat during long trips)

Gas guzzler.

Good power and pickup.

Drives good in 4x4.

Faults:

I am experiencing the brake light issue as most of you guys are. Thanks for putting in your comments on this issue. A few other problems are: Hood Pistons will not hold up the hood, Driver side door window is extremely slow to go up especially in colder weather, My water pump is leaking, and I had to have my A/C controller replaced due to broken parts inside of the unit.

General Comments:

My only comment on this Jeep is goodbye. After these repairs are made, never again will I buy from Daimler/Chrysler.

Faults:

Since purchase I've had to replace my coil pack at 71500 miles, water pump at approx. 65000 miles, interior speakers/wiring, and then just regular vehicle maintenance.

General Comments:

The vehicle responds well in all weather conditions.

Vehicle handles great on and off road.

Gas mileage is OK, but could be better.

Faults:

Well, like others have reported before I am having problems with my left tail light. When I turn my lights the left tail light goes out. But when I have my lights turned off it come on with no problem. This is the second time that I have had this problem. The first time was about a year ago and both lights were out in the back. What ticks me off is that I'm starting a new job tomorrow and it's 40 minutes away. I have to be on the road by 6:15 am. I don't want to be on the road with messed up lights! I am extremely upset that this has happened, what a way to start a first day at work.

Faults:

"purge solenoid" replaced 55000 km.

Air conditioning went at 40000 km.

Driver's seat vinyl ripped.

General Comments:

The thumping from the engine on the passenger side is a defective solenoid. Replace it and the noise will go away.

Not an expensive vehicle and with a few exceptions, has been reliable.

I am not completely comfortable with the 4*4 when turning on the road, even in the snow.
