2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport
Summary:
Love the car (except for the wheel shaking), hate the lease
Faults:
From almost the first day I had it, the steering wheel on the Jeep shook when I traveled at over 50 MPH. After ignoring it for a couple of months, I noticed that in addition to the steering wheel, the passenger seat now shook (when empty) as well. I took it to the dealer and was told that the right front rim was bent, and was causing the shaking. I'm assuming the rim was bent before I purchased the car, as I haven't been in an accident, but I couldn't prove it to anyone so I didn't bring that up. I shelled out about $120 for a new rim and assumed all would be well. Of course, the wheel still shakes just like before. I've returned to ignoring it.
General Comments:
I'm leasing the car for (something slightly short of highway robbery) too much. I owed a bit on my trade in and it's been the death of me in this lease. I'd love to get out of it, but "car lease" seems to be code for temporary slavery. I give up.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I am experiencing the same thing. I've brought my jeep into the shop now for the fourth time.
The very first time they told me that is was a CAM Sensor malfunction that is why my check engine light it on.
Then when it was "fixed" I drove it home and it stalled on me at a stop light. I brought it in again and they can't seem to re set the code, but recommend a $450.00 tune up.
My vehicle shakes and will not go past 60 mph then the engine light will come on. Some days I can't start the vehicle right away. After a few click the engine starts and the light is on.
Any suggestion as to where start looking for a solution.
