Faults:

Fuel Pump froze and had to be replaced <$1,000>.

Engine idles low, and will sometimes stall at lower RPM.

General Comments:

My Jeep is a great vehicle for how old it is, besides the problems listed above nothing else has gone wrong and it runs and starts strong.

The cabin is very luxurious, and the leather seats are a dream.

Being a Jeep with Quadratrac four wheel drive, it handles excelent in the snow and off road.

Faults:

My brakes died out right before inspection at 115350 miles ($450)

2 bad you joints ($50 each)

Radio screen does not work at all and neither does the AM/FM radio, but the cd player works.

Did an overhaul on drive train myself spent about $200.

General Comments:

This is my families 7th jeep 1st on I have owned.

I like the feel of the jeep, drives great on and off road.

Despite the repairs of almost $1000 after a 3 month ownership I will buy nothing, but a jeep.

They seem to hold there value well mine is worth $7500 and I bought it for $3995.

Just doing small repairs to make it run great and not just good makes it worth more and drive like a chap.

I would not sell my jeep for any reason other than to buy another.

If anyone knows how to fix the stock radio please help me I like it, but I am tired of just CD's and having no screen?

Faults:

A/C bearings went out at 138,000 miles.

Water pump blew at 138,500 miles.

Front windshield wipers delay stopped working at 130,000 miles.

General Comments:

This jeep still has power and torque. Even with high miles she holds her own with any car on the interstate. Fast and smooth acceleration all the way up to 120 mph until the governor kicks in.

My jeep has been driven hard, and has taken me across the country and back many times with out an incident.

A few minor quick repairs that were not all that expensive, and she drives like new.

Faults:

I disconnected the battery cable to check the alternator and fried the computer @ 215,000 miles.

Rear wiper motor locked up @ 220,000 miles.

General Comments:

This Jeep has been a dream to own and drive. The only problem I have had out of it is the wiper motor and computer, and it was my fault! It now has well over 250,000 miles and it is still going as strong as anything on the road. I can easily keep up with any car on the interstate at any speed (over 100mph).

My Jeep is also a tried and true off-roader. I have yet to get into a situation where I didn't think I would make it out.

My Jeep has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. It has never left me stranded. Never!

Anyone who says this vehicle isn't good off-road, or unreliable is just plain crazy. Every vehicle company has lemons here and there, so don't let one persons bad experience change your mind about buying the original SUV. You won't be disappointed!
