Faults:

Seats stain easily and are hard to get clean.

Had to replace something having to do with the window while under warranty.

Now the driver's side window will not stay up. And of course it is not covered under warranty any more.

Shakes like crazy. That started about 500 miles ago. Not sure what that is about.

General Comments:

The seats are very uncomfortable.

I do not like how there is not much room in the backseat for kids.. meaning for them to stand and get out of the car.. The doors in the back do not open wide enough in my opinion..

Faults:

Window regulators breaking with window falls into door. Drivers door window at 15,000 miles. Passenger window at 25,000 miles. Left rear passenger door at 41,000 miles.

Rear differential has a excessive gear noise at 65-75 mph. It has a bad set up pattern. Dealer can't seem to correct it.

General Comments:

The dealer admits that the window regulators are engineering defect, they are only covered till 3 years, 36,000 miles, So I fought them on the last one that I took the car in for at 41,000 miles. They wanted to charge me to replace it; contact your factory rep and fight it, they will replace it for free. Back them into a corner on it, and tell 'em you know that it is a factory defect.

Rear differential gear noise is unacceptable, as it is above radio listening levels.... enough that a passenger asked me what that noise was coming from the rear of the car.

Faults:

No serious problems.

General Comments:

The Liberty is not very luxurious and does not have a true 4x4 ability, as it lacks in horse power.

This SUV is in my opinion not a vehicle for city drivers, it has poor MPG and is very top heavy with a short wheel base, which can make highway driving a challenge. Northern drivers beware this vehicle can spin out easily and will roll.

I am not sure which market this vehicle was designed for, but I would assume it is for cottagers who occasionally go down a dirt road, and like to have fun in the mud on a rainy day.

First I'm 6.0"; it seems that the seats will not lower enough?

Sometimes second gear shifts a little hard.
