Faults:

When using the accessory outlet to charge a cell phone, the turn lights come on, and the radio speakers have static, even with the radio turned off.

The windshield developed a stress crack in less than one month.

When attempting to accelerate to pass at highway speed, the car does not enter a passing gear, instead it appears to slip into neutral.

Sharp left turns from a stopped or slow speed jerks the steering wheel suddenly. This does not happen when making the same style turn to the right.

Rear vents do not blow hot or warm air when the outside temperatures are below 50 degrees Fahrenheit regardless of how long the car has warmed up.

Interior lights do not always turn on when the doors are opened. Light switch positions have been verified to be correct.

Difficult to use the horn. It only seems to work when a very small and specific location is pressed hard.

General Comments:

The car handles fair when on smooth, dry pavement. If the roads are wet, the car loses the 'feel' for the road, and can best be described as dancing on a bowling ball.

There is a lot of outside noise transferred to the interior, particularly wind noise.

Folding the rear seats is difficult and dangerous as they tend to flop back down when trying to secure then with the supplied straps. Use the straps if you are going to fold the seats up.

The seatbelt for the middle seat, center passenger makes it difficult for someone seated in the rear to exit the vehicle. A bench seat mounted seatbelt would be a better design than the one mounted on the side post. If struck from the side, the person in the middle seat could easily slide sideways out of the seat because of the approximately 18 inch gap between the seat and the seatbelt anchors.

Faults:

Driver's seat belt did not retract properly. A shot of silicone solved the problem.

General Comments:

The Kia Sedona handles easily in all driving conditions.

Seats are comfortable and electric seat controls are easy to reach and activate.

Dash controls are also easy to find and use.

Sliding doors slide great and lock in the open position. Great on hills.

The five speed engine gives plenty of pick-up and the transmission shifts very smoothly.

Cargo space in the rear is less than my Windstar, but adequate.

Visibility is excellent through the windows and using the mirrors.

The ride is very comfortable and quiet.

Plenty of vehicle for a low cost.

Includes the best warranty I have ever had.

Floor mats cover more carpet area than other vehicles.

First time I purchased a vehicle and not felt as though I was cheated (I actually got a great/fair deal). I have purchased and owned thirteen vehicles to date.

Faults:

We just purchased a brand new KIA Sedona on November 3, 2004. It had 47 miles on it when we drove it off the lot. Seven days later, it broke down and the transmission had to be replaced. Almost unheard of.

Just today, November 27, 2004, it broke down again. It started dying on us at stop signs on the way home from a dinner. We made it home and my husband was going to take it out for a drive by himself to see how it ran. He couldn't even get it out of the driveway... it died twice. The tow truck just came about 2 hours ago to tow it away for the 2nd time in 24 days!!!

General Comments:

I like having all the extra room, compartments, and the entertainment center for my 3 kids.
