2006 Kia Sedona EX 3.8 V6
Summary:
By far the best van we have owned
Faults:
Brakes squeal for a few stops when cold. A few drips of oil on garage floor over past 5 months, but not enough to represent a problem.
General Comments:
Very smooth acceleration, powerful and responsive. Makes a little noise if you really put your foot into it, I like that. Handles and rides more like a euro-sedan than a van or truck, After a day of driving 800 miles over mixed freeway and two-lane road I did not feel very tired or uncomfortable.
Center row windows roll down and both back rows have controls for windows and climate control. Too many small features to list, but is really loaded with conveniences. Fold-in back seats handy, but not as comfortable as real captains chairs in front four positions.
Controls seem well placed after months of getting oriented, but there are so many switches etc. it is a bit overwhelming.
Power memory seats, pedals, and mirrors help keep peace with wife who always used to complain about my changing things.
Everything works and works well!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Now have 10K miles on this van. As it was one of the first new Sedona vans in the country it has had a number of software updates, and minor modifications (wires and brake lines susceptible to wear being secured differently etc.) done along with oil changes. Brake squeal taken care of under warranty by replacing rear calipers entirely. Dealer did this without pause or question. Oil leak still very minor, but dealer did a UV light leak check and determined that the upper oil pan gasket needs replacing. That is about to be done, a day long procedure, dealer provides loaner car.
We are very satisfied with both the vehicle and service under warranty. Now getting between 13 and 25 mpg depending upon use. Worst being with my wife commuting less than a mile and back during cold weather, best being at 70-75 on highway using cruise control.
Everything still works and works well, and we do have most options short of DVD.
