2001 Lincoln Continental 4 door 4.8
Summary:
Outstanding value!
Faults:
None yet! Great car with no repairs. Tires were the only expense so far.
General Comments:
Looks great. Rides even better.
The car is quick and gets good MPG for the size. I average 21 MPG in combined driving. I get 26 on the highway.
Outstanding value for a used car. The car was $42K new and I purchased for $6500 with only 50K miles. Outstanding.
OK... it's not a Lexus, but the same vehicle from Lexus, MB, Acura would have been 20K. I can live with that!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Turning off the air ride before lifting it is only to prevent the bags from filling IF the ignition is turned on while the car is lifted. The only failure it can cause is exploding the bags when it's lowered.
Typical failure is a switch or a fuse. Likely your switch has gone bad. Or something has become disconnected.
Typical leak points are the plastic fittings which are a cheap fix.
I am a mechanic and a major Lincoln enthusiast. I am searching for my 12th Lincoln now.
