2015 Mazda 6 Touring 2.5 Skyactiv N/A 184hp
Summary:
A truly practical, inexpensive and sporty family/daily driver car
Faults:
Nothing.
General Comments:
Excellent and reliable car.
Extremely well built with a quality feel.
Excellent handling, especially with upgraded tires on the factory 19” rims.
Great looks while still practical.
I love that it has a true automatic transmission and not a sloppy CVT like so many others.
Could use 30-50 more hp (turbo models are now available).
A little noisier than some others but not obnoxious.
Bluetooth system occasionally won’t find my phone and has to be restarted.
Great value for money, stickered for $25k, I paid $20500. I have no idea why they don’t sell 300k of these per year. Such a better car than the Accord, Camry and 200S I was also considering. Give Mazda a chance!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I live in Southern California so I can’t comment on rust as it’s not an issue here. My family had a 10 Mazdaspeed3 and my dad still has his 04 Mazdaspeed Miata, and neither have had rust issues.
However I wanted to note that the car is at 86k miles and everything is still perfect. The only things I’ve ever replaced are front brake pads (1x), both air filters (2x), tires (2x), wipers (1x) and the battery (1x).
Interior is wearing very well and absolutely zero issues. Just an excellent car and I will be hard pressed to ever give it up.

Update 4/28/22:
The car is now at 92k miles. Recently was due for brakes, did them myself for <$500 for pads and rotors on all four wheels.
Still running great, interior holding up well, no electrical, mechanical or climate control malfunctions. Only new wear item is the rubber cover for the trunk button (outside on trunk near license plate) has worn and is hanging down. No effect on functionality. Trying to find the replacement rubber cover, but can only find the whole switch unit.
While doing the brake job I inspected the CV axles and struts/shocks. Everything is clean, no cracked bushings, no cracks or leakage from CV axles, shock gaiters intact.
For the money it's really hard to imagine a better car. This thing really feels like that old 1980s-early 2000s levels of Japanese quality, but with a bit of a sporting personality and modern features thrown in.

Perhaps the reviewer is too optimistic about the "absolutely no problems" with the car. Impossible not even a sensor to fail. But I'm guessing he is pointing at the more expensive items.

They are nice cars, to drive and look at. However myself and a lot of ex-Mazda fans are still annoyed at the poor quality rust protection on Mazda's from the 2000 - 2010 era. Had a Mazda 6 2007 model that started to rust when it was only 5 years old. Probably what puts most people off Mazda. Time will tell if the new ones hold up any better.
