1994 Mazda 929 3.0
Summary:
This is perhaps the very best car I have ever owned
Faults:
The only problem that we have ever had was while the vehicle was still under warranty. We were unable to remove the ignition key from the key slot. After repeated visits to the local dealer, I contacted Mazda, USA. They must have gcounciled the dealer for the replacement of the transmission computer corrected the issue.
We have had absolutely no expenses with the vehicle except for the required periodic inspections.
General Comments:
The design of the car is still appealing and I believe far ahead of its time. It is still among the most handsome styles ever.
Rattles drive me nuts. This car has none.
It took me awhile to get used to the softer ride of my previous car, a Toyota Cressida.
Compared to my prior vehicle I find that it is just a bit underpowered.
The upholstery and appearance is as if new, but then again, it has always been garaged.
I especially appreciate the low operating costs: gas and the periodic required inspections are its only expenses. (It still uses not one drop of oil between oil changes.)
I have never replaced any parts since buying this rig.
It has never had a tune-up except for the one time that I did change the spark plugs.
The seats are comfortable and the leather shows no sign of wear nor are there any stitches broken.
The only time that there is any wind noise is when the sunroof is open.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I bought this car for my kids at 196,000 miles from the original owner. He took great care of it and it still has the sexy growl when you accelerate. We make sure it has regular maintenance and have only had to do basic work on it.
A/C charge, brakes, regular oil changes with synthetic (it's always down a quart), just had the valve cover & intake manifold gaskets replaced due to oil leaking from valve covers, replaced spark plugs and wires.
She is vibrating some, but my daughter says it always drives like that. Great pick up, it takes off like a sports car should!
I've had the same trouble with the windows as many people here state. Rear window motor broken.
The driver door panel is coming away from the door frame. Now the interior door handle latch won't open the door. We have to roll down the window and open it from the outside. Gonna have to get that fixed.
The shocks are gone and it's like floating a Cadillac down the highway. My mechanic quoted about $3,000 for the replacement! That's more than the car is worth, but we'll probably do it. The interior is falling apart, but the integrity of the car is still pretty darn great considering she's 20 years old.
I recommend these to anyone who is willing to care for them.
