Faults:

The rear end Clunks, when it is put into any gears. At first, we thought that it was probably the U-joints, but it turns out that its some kind of bearing inside the rear end. The paint was faded badly and wouldn't shine up. The vacuum hose cracked so it had a rough idle, when it wasn't hooked up. The air conditioning didn't work when we bought it, but oh well.

General Comments:

The car is really powerful, and beats supposedly "fast" cars all the time at lights.

There's plenty of power to pass and by the time I get past the car, my car is already going about 140 Kilometers Per Hour.

This car corners way better than any large car that I've ever driven.

The car is really nice on long trips, with all of the power accessories and it's excellent ride.

The mufflers broke off, but the car is still pretty tolerable inside, so it must have a lot of sound-deadening stuff built in.

It gets great gas mileage, it was very cheap to buy, its big so all passengers are safe and comfortable.

The car starts instantly every time, even on the coldest days this year.

Any parts on it are easily replaced, if they get damaged, since there are so many of these around.

Faults:

The only thing that ever went wrong with my car is the alternator failed.

General Comments:

I have had this car for a year now and its the most reliable car I have ever come across.

The only problems I have now is I have to change the oil pan that is rusting out, its only a pin hole, but it leaks a little bit of oil. The other is the bushings on the front shocks they dry rotted out, but hey whats 10 Bucks anyway.

These Cars handle very well believe me I have put it to the test and they have great performence.

My car Now has 227000 plus miles and still idles and runs like it was brand new, The transmission doesn't slip and the motor doesn't knock so was the car worth 300 Dollars.

Faults:

I have had this car for almost a year now and I have had few problems. The alternator failed on me one cold winter morning, but it was a quick cheap fix. I also had to replace the bushings in the brake calipers as they were rattling when the wheel hit bumps on the road. The starter is starting to act up now, but still works.

The engine is high mileage, but does not smoke or burn oil, and the tranny does not slip.

General Comments:

I bought this car because it was cheap, and I needed a vehicle to drive in the winter. It was in very good shape for its age and mileage, and still is today. The 302 is good on gas for a large car (I get 16 city, 25 highway) and always starts even on the coldest Canadian winter mornings.

The car has a nice ride, but a little too bouncy for my tastes. It handles surprisingly well, but does lean a lot in the corners. The brakes are strong, but tend to be grabby and lock-up easily.

The engine is powerful and smooth, but lacks torque in the hills. The transmission does not slip, but it is slow to downshift. The rear end is a posi and it works well!

The car is an excellent vehicle, and probably one of the most reliable vehicles you could buy. It is definitely not for everyone, but if a diehard GM guy can learn to love a Ford, anyone should give it a chance.
