Faults:

Even when I first got the car, I knew it was messed up.

The owner said it was lifter tick, but I found out down the road it was a spun bearing, a VERY common problem with these motors.

Needles to say, it was cheaper to replace the engine rather than rebuilding it. Let me tell you, NO ONE wants to work on these cars, so good luck trying to find a mechanic.

After that got replaced, the seals by the camshaft leaked a good amount of oil on the timing belt. The motor was rebuilt. Then the starter went out. A week later, a fuel injector goes bad on me. A couple of days after, the engine jumped the time and bent/broke the valves in Cyl. #3.

Let me tell you, that that was the last straw. I bought the car knowing it had a problem, yes, but this is one problem after another. Can't go one week without an issue. Can't really say about how it drives, because I never had the damn car running long enough to get the feel for it.

The interior dash is cracked, I mean bad. Torn from left to right, and the vents popped out. Again, a very common thing for it.

It's a bit uncomfortable for tall drivers. I'm 6'4" and I'm a bit cramped inside.

General Comments:

Dude, it's THE WORST car I've ever bought. I'll take my old Z31 300ZX any day over this clunker.

I had to drop out of school, and am on the brink of losing my job, because I don't have a dependable car.

It's one nightmare followed by another. I lost all my sanity and money over it.

I think I'll be going back to Fords. Heck, I'll even get a V6 Mustang stick to fill the void this car left.

The car looks sexy as hell, but that's it. Stay very far away from it, and whatever you do, DO NOT buy one.

Faults:

Water pump started slow leak at about 110,000 miles. Did not necessarily need replacing, but replaced it anyway.

Unfortunately the mechanic had no clue how to properly tighten the timing belts back up, and used tension adjustment to tighten it when he should have pulled it to the correct setting, then set the tension. Caused the belt to slip; once I realized they did not know what they were doing, I changed technicians, and have been pleased ever since.

General Comments:

Others talk about cost to maintain. I have found everything I need on e-bay or through autopartswarehouse.com. Everything is high quality and inexpensive.

It's an easy car to work on, and as someone else noted, it is a little slow from the lights, but is a rocket on the highway.

I don't care how built they have their little muffler, mini rocket cars with big wings; they have no chance of keeping up with this.

Awesome cornering, and a very controllable drifter.

Faults:

300 miles ago the compressor froze; no, not stopped working, yes it froze. Funny thing is that the alternator is on the same belt as the compressor, and guess what, they don't make a belt for "just the alternator. $700.00 to fix the compressor.

General Comments:

Make sure if you have a stock double din radio, and the battery is disconnected FOR ANY REASON, that you know the code for the radio or IT WILL NOT WORK. I had to replace my radio because of this.
