2002 Mitsubishi Outlander LX
Summary:
Not at all what I expected from a new car
Faults:
Under the warranty the first oxygen sensor went bad. The check engine light came on. Dealer changed.
Under the warranty the heater fan was not blowing enough air. Dealer fixed same.
Under the warranty the speakers were sounding poor. Dealer tightened mounting screws.
At 38,000 miles, the second oxygen sensor went bad. The check engine light came on again. This time I had to purchase the sensor and have it installed. Seems Mitsubishi does not include the sensors in the emissions 50,000 mile warranty.
At 39,500 miles the check engine light has come on again. The 3rd spark plug is misfiring. Mechanic states needs to replace the spark plug wires.
General Comments:
The vehicle is comfortable to dive, even though I'm a big guy.
However with the problems I am having I am thinking of trading it in already.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
