2004 Nissan Altima S 2.5
Summary:
A Nissan mistake
Faults:
Well when I first got the car, it was fine,
then I noticed that the heat would get cold at a idle, so I took it in to have it checked out, and I needed to replace the radiator.
That fixed that problem, then the check engine light came on. It needed a new air sensor.
Fixed that, then its transmission started slipping. Had them check it out. They said to get it flushed.
Got that done, it calmed it down a little bit, then one day the trans just dropped out of gear and my car wouldn't move. I had it towed into Nissan, and they said I needed a whole new transmission that cost me 3500 dollars.
Then the upper ball joints went bad, then it kept blowing headlights, then the door creaks, and there's still a strange knocking sound at idle.
Ever since the day I bought this car, I put over 6,000 dollars in repairs into it, that's after I paid 26,000 for the car.
I have had nothing but problems with this car. I also have a Mitsubishi Eclipse, it's a 92 with 190,000 miles on it, and I haven't had so much as a hiccup with that car.
I thought Nissan was supposed to be one of the best cars out there? What happened here?
General Comments:
Other than that, the car is kinda comfy, and it has good power. That's about it.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
