Faults:

Both rear wheel cylinders were leaking when I purchased the truck. Replaced at 73K, along with new brake shoes and resurfaced drums.

Shocks replaced @ 73K.

Both CV shaft boots were torn when purchased, replaced both shafts at 73K (my fault, should have put new boots on right away)

U-joint on drive-shaft replaced @ 75K.

Thermostat replaced @ 76K.

Starter replaced @ 78K.

There are some funny noises coming from the transmission, I suspect throwout bearing is going out.

Timing chain rattles a bit on startup, but goes away after a couple minutes.

Every once in awhile, it will puff a little smoke out on startup. I suspect valve seals are worn? Not a big deal, because oil consumption is very little between oil changes.

General Comments:

Overall, this truck has been fantastic. Not the most exciting thing to drive, but it has never left me stranded and starts all the time.

Has more power than my previous Toyota pickup.

4 wheel drive works great!

Recently hauled almost 2000lbs. of stone in the back box, and it performed like a champ! I just had to keep it slow, and take it easy.

I can see that rust is showing up in various places. A couple rust holes are starting to show up in box. The rear wheel-wells are rusting (who's the genius that designed the factory wheel flares that trap dirt and water?)

Be sure to regularly spray out the insides of the frame! It's a boxed design, and dirt gets trapped in there and will clog the drain-holes!! This is very important. I've seen many people neglect this, and they wonder why the frames are wasting away.

Do the general maintenance on these trucks, and they will last forever.

Faults:

Hole In muffler.

Exuast manifold had to be fixed.

Noting has gone wrong other than that.

General Comments:

I love my truck, it is very reliable and gets me where I need to go. Since I have 4X4 I can go pretty much anywhere. I have had no problems with the transmission, and it runs very smoothly. Installed a JVC CD player and new front speakers, I got a sub for the back. I also purchased a grille guard, but none of these things were completely necessary. The interior is very nice, there are no tears, cracks, stains, or any damage at all. I use this truck every day, It can haul a decent load, and handles trailers/wagons very well. My 3.0 liter engine is great, even though it's not the fastest it still has quiet a bit of "get up and go" . I get about 22 miles to the gallon. I would recommend this truck to anyone!!

Faults:

Front parking light went out. Rotors and calipers wore down.

General Comments:

My Nissan is a very reliable truck, its very quick now that I installed a 80 horse racing chip, a header, and a ram air intake. I added a new fiberglass hood and added a body kit on it, custom ordered, new paint job, not that the old one was badd... it was incredible. I switched to Valvoline VR50 5w-30, and a 3 inch drop kit on it. It handles good on 16 inch Enkei's with Toyo low profiles. I have had many people ask me how much I will take for it, I just tell them, I am not selling it. Too good of a truck.
