2005 Nissan Pathfinder EX 4.2 V6
Summary:
Reliable, powerful, comfortable vehicle that is well worth the money
Faults:
U joints replaced after owned for approximately 1 year.
Fuel delivery system sensor went out at 58000 miles.
General Comments:
A great vehicle that has good power for a V6, lots of room for 7, handles good, very reliable and a lot of fun to drive.
Ever since I changed the tires on my Pathfinder to more performance based tires, I have noticed the smoother ride with a better feel.
I have only had minor problems with my Pathfinder, and was taken care of very well by the dealership where I purchased my vehicle.
I previously drove American made SUVs and trucks, with many problems early on with the vehicles that were costly repairs.
I believe I will continue to stick with Nissan and all of their cars. I recently purchased a used Altima as a second car.
The only gripe I would have with the Pathfinder is the MPG, but it gets better than some of the other SUVs that compare in size.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I love my Pathfinder, all my Nissans have had great reliability if you don't get hustled by dealers or lying shops... but I also love my used 2000 Explorer with the V8 and the AWD, and it has great pulling power when I do dump runs with the trailer. I sure wouldn't get the V6 4WD Explorer... but the V8 AWD is as close to a worry free vehicle as I have ever owned. But then again, the Pathfinder has been a good solid vehicle as well. Both really do drive great.
