2017 Nissan Qashqai S AWD 2.0L
Summary:
The car has a lot to offer if Nissan stands behind their product
Faults:
Engine stalls, long cranking, and is hard to re-start. This is followed by a few minutes of engine misfire and rough idle.
Throttle becomes unresponsive and the driver is unable to move the car.
Poor paint quality and the paint chips very easily.
General Comments:
Purchased the car new. Within 12 hours of owning it I encountered a loss of throttle response while merging onto a highway and was nearly struck by another vehicle when the Qashqai failed to accelerate and I was unable to get up to speed or get out of the way. This problem occurred multiple times. 3 days later it stalled and wouldn't restart. It eventually caught, but ran roughly and was not drivable. On my second visit to Nissan service they acknowledged it was a known problem and there was an outstanding service bulletin on the car. This should have been addressed prior to delivering to car to a purchaser.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
