2004 Nissan Quest
Faults:
Problems with brakes/rotors.
Press accelerator, but van doesn't move. Dealer in so many words said they couldn't do anything about it. This really scared me as my 17-year-old son has been the one driving at a time when this has happened. You just don't know when it's going to happen; in my opinion this is very dangerous - what if you're on the freeway and you can't accelerate - talk about a bad accident potential.
Very poor interior quality. Ceiling lights are forever falling out of the ceiling.
Rattling noises from side doors are annoying.
Front doors get stuck often and you have to pull very hard to get the doors open. I think it has something to do with the rubber in the doors.
The dealer's solution to the problem is for the customer to buy the extended warranty on a car that they presented as reliable and, in fact, is not. I think Nissan should extend the warranty to 5 years/60,000 miles to all 2004 Quest owners. That is the very least Nissan can do if they really want to lose its customers. If nothing happens, I will not buy another Nissan.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
