2015 Nissan Rogue SL FWD 2.5L CVT
Summary:
Going strong. It has been fairly reliable for years. Only done oil changes and low cost maintenance
Faults:
Replaced a set of tires back in September.
Had a recall a year after for airbag software update, and few months later another recall on the CVT, just regular oil changes and fluids done. Still have the original battery and brakes after five years. No other issues I've had, and it's running strong.
Replaced battery in the keyfob.
General Comments:
I love my car, rides smooth and handles great. It has a 170hp engine; being it has a CVT, it sure feels like accelerating like a 8 cylinder. This my second Nissan; still love to drive my Rogue, and it still has the new car smell.
Love the features such as 360 degree camera and navigation; all works great; Bose sound is impressive even listening to XM radio, the interior is almost like new. The Rogue idles quietly at stop signs and red lights; even has good highway response passing motorists; if driving a two lane highway, I don't have to use O/D mode. It also gets good fuel economy; it depends on driving habits, averaging 30.8 mpg on the highway.
Do plan on keeping my Rogue for a long time, never had any major problems that I needed to address at a dealership; I pray that the car will last me for a while. When I drive my Rogue, I still have an excited feeling when driving, because of the smoothness, no issues on anything, just a solid small car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

UPDATE: Just had oil changed a few weeks ago. My car is paid off. Did have a tech coming to look at it, doing a full detail. Now I have 27,290 or some miles, no issues. Did have TPMS light popping on; thought it was low tire until I took in to the service center. I was informed it needed a sensor; took it last week after the part was ordered.
The car has the original battery, brakes and regular maintenance. Only thing replaced is a set of tires from last year and tire pressure sensor after the light illuminated. It's still running strong and drives like new.
I did this review almost a year ago, and it was at 24,699 miles at that time; now driven at over 27,000 miles which soon be close to 30,000; even the CVT is flawless.
Don't plan on buying a new car anytime soon. I'm strict on maintenance; trying keep it going for a long time.

Be sure to replace the CVT fluid at 30,000 interval. It's $300 every 2 years, but critical for the life of this transmission.
