Faults:
At 41K miles, my car quit running while in motion due to a sensor recall that was not corrected prior to my purchase.
Took care of wheel recall at same time, which included replacement of all 4 wheels.
At 43K, my air conditioner stopped blowing cold on the way home from the other coast. The hoses froze completely and thermistor controller had to be replaced. The part was under warranty.
At 59K, the car developed a very rough idle and began jumping and eventually stalling at traffic lights. Car would not stall with A/C running. Dealer replaced a mass air flow sensor, that should have been covered under extended warranty, and a idler pulley and compressor belt that would not have been covered under extended warranty.
At 70K, CD player has decided to only work when it feels like it.
At 79K, the battery completely died, the service engine light is on for a bad intake air temperature sensor, and the transmission has been acting sluggish at various intervals, even though it was serviced a month ago.
General Comments:
The car is great when it doesn't have a problem.
Gas mileage is wonderful.
I have had more mechanical and electrical problems with this car in 2 years than any car I've ever had.
Local dealers are not cooperative at all with service or warranties.

My 2000 Nissan Sentra also stalls when at stopped at lights - or slowing down toward them - didn't start til 130k, but becoming increasingly worse / more frequent.
When I purchased the Sentra the gas tank was installed backwards so it was back in the shop within weeks - should have been a sign of things to come!
My cd player also works very sporadically.
4 recalls later still driving it, but will definitely go back to being a Toyota driver with my next car.
