Faults:
Upon purchase the gas gage was broken. It was registering 1/2 a tank when there was actually no gas at all. Because of this, the car wouldn't start. The car was brought in for this at 1,687 miles. The part to fix this was on backorder, returned to be fixed 1 month later. The car was now at 2,679 miles.
Within 5 months of purchasing, the car would randomly not start. By the time it was at 6,500 miles it was doing this. It has taken as long as 2 days for it to start.
Air conditioner got stuck on heat at about 9,500 miles.
Rear speakers started rattling by 9,500 miles.
Insulation pouring out of defroster vents at 9,500 miles.
Front grille paint is peeling off, and already rusting, the car is only 8 months old and at 12,500 miles.
Passenger front seat gears for reclining are broken, seat gets stuck in position.
Car was brought in for service on all of the above problems, however the car will not start again, front grille has not been replaced yet, insulation still coming out of vents, and the speakers are broken again.
General Comments:
There are several things wrong with this car.
It is extremely unreliable, I never know if I'm going to get stuck somewhere or not.
The turning radius could definitely be better.
Calling the manufacturer directly is not much help, the people there don't seem to know very much.
Something is always braking in it or on it, it is brought to the shop at least once a month.

Sounds like you got a lemon.
My worst fear when I was buying mine. I got lucky mine has been bullit proof for 30,000 km.
Sorry about your luck... these dealers should start addressing lemons... then I would buy a vw.
