Faults:
My engine unexpectedly exploded and caught on fire on a highway in the middle of nowhere around 15K miles.
My car wouldn't start even at the dealership when they said they finished fixing the car! Had to buy a new battery since the original one melted.
Car stalled out at the dealership before even getting on the highway (luckily).
Car stall's out repeatedly while driving on the highway.
Car stall's out repeatedly at red lights.
Engine consumes quarts of oil (sometimes all the oil) in less than 3000 miles.
Engine gets so hot the CD player melts my CD's.
Blinker's flicker fast, headlight's burn out.
The 2cd engine blows up at 25,000 miles.
The car keeps stalling out everywhere (parking lots, driveways). Car sometimes won't even take a jump and needs to be towed home.
The third engine blows up at 32,000 miles.
A "new perfect engine (2004) " gets put in. I have a mechanic road test it, and at 1000 miles, there is no oil left in the engine. This one gets thrown out, and another junk engine put in.
I have to buy another battery, according to the Nissan manager in Lynn MA on route 1 to fix the stalling out problem. After paying $150, the car stalls out again before I make it home a few miles away. I almost get hit on the highway.
The clutch needs to get replaced.
The factory speakers inside the car stop working (on and off).
The engine keeps consuming excessive oil (and this is the good stuff- mobil) I keep paying for the best oil changes every 3000 miles, sometimes sooner.
Internal lights stop working inside the car.
Speedometer and Tachometer are on and off working.
Service engine light comes on and off throughout whole life of the car. Never a low oil light, not even when the engine runs out of oil and blows up.
The fourth engine eventually won't start or take a jump, Nissan won't touch the car until the engine is completely destroyed, as many times as I bring it to them with problems. Then they just put the same defective engine back in.
The fifth engine stalls and eventually blows out.
A mechanic notices that my exhaust pipe is rusted through, and I have to pay for that myself ($700) since the undercarriage warranty expired at 60K. The car was actually rusting in less than 70K and less than 3 years, even though I paid for the best car washes with undercarriage protectors.
I had a final engine put in around 60K miles. It started stalling out around 67K, and I had to sell it for cheap to a used car salesman. No person would buy the car after seeing the Carfax and no Nissan dealership would even consider buying the car, or accepting it as a trade in. I wonder why...

The car isn't that bad, the biggest glitch is that it's supposed to be a sports car but the engine doesn't last very long if you drive it like one. These engines run in Altimas for 200000 miles, no problem as long as they're not abused. Obviously if you bought a 175 Hp manual 6 speed light car, it wasn't to drive it around at 30 mph :)
