2006 Nissan Sentra Special Edition 1.8s

Summary:

In my opinion this is quite a nice little car

Faults:

One problem that I had with both of my 2006 Nissan Sentra's were that they had a starting problem; sometimes it takes me three tries to start the car. Both the second and the first Sentra I previously owned did this.

The belts chirp and squeak first thing in the morning.

And from experience, This car flips too easily.

That's why I am on my second one. I rolled my first Sentra going at the speed of approximately 40 miles an hour.

One thing about the Sentra is that they don't hold up too well in accidents.

When I rolled my first Sentra, half the roof collapsed, rolling it on a dirt road destroyed the exterior. Smashed in almost all the side panels. If I have not have worn my seatbelt, I wouldn't be making a review on this car right now.

General Comments:

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the Sentra.

It has good horsepower for a little car.

It's very sporty.

Love the black interior, the only down side is that the arm rest on the door is uncomfortable to the elbow after a period of time of driving.

Absolutely LOVE the sound system.. good sound and bass.

Has an outstanding front end alignment. Good tight steering.

2006 Nissan Sentra Special Edition 1.8 inline 4 cylinder

Summary:

I love it!

Faults:

The only thing that has gone wrong with this car is the fuel pump. On a cold start (for example, in the morning) it will start without pumping the gas pedal, with no problem at all. However, if I have been driving it for a while and I shut the engine off and then try to start it, it will not start until about the third turn of the key. The fuel pump takes longer than it should to rebuild pressure. No big deal though. That is the only defect with the vehicle.

General Comments:

This car is great! It gets amazing gas mileage (about 31 city and 40 highway!) and it is cheap to fill up.

The ride is smooth and quiet for a compact. The interior is stylish and has very easy to use controls for everything. The stereo is great! Everything works properly in the car and I have no complaints.

I bought the car from a family member selling it, so I was sure there were no problems with it other than the fuel pump as mentioned earlier.

For a 4 cylinder, it has pretty good pick up. It has a sporty look and there is minimal drag from the air while driving it due to its design. I would highly recommend this vehicle or any other Nissan for that matter.

2006 Nissan Sentra SER Spec V 2.5 litre

Summary:

Great car for the money!

Faults:

No problems.

General Comments:

The Spec V features numerous performance parts at a bargain price.

The only cars that perform any better usually cost from $5,000 to $10000 more.

The brakes are strong, have excellent pedal feel, and stop the car in a straight line without drama even during panic stops.

The steering, while not Porsche level, is very good for performance driving.

The body does not lean during hard corning and the suspension remains composed even when driving briskly over rough road surfaces.

With the exception of a few minor squeaks now and then, the car is solid and well made.

The 2.5 engine pulls strongly in any gear at almost any rpm. Hill climbing and passing are a breeze.

My Spec has averaged between 26 mpg (city) and 32 mpg (highway).

After 60000 miles, I have yet to add oil between changes. I use Mobil 1 and change it myself.

My only problem with the car is that I could use a bit more leg room. I'm 6'2" tall.

The car is great, powerful and fun. It only needs more leg room - I am 6'4 LOL.
