2006 Nissan Titan XE 5.6
Summary:
It's whatever
Faults:
Transmission lines, radiator, rack and pinion, belt tensioner, weather stripping, rubber bushings for the front end, tires, battery, front brake rotors, AC control switch assembly, the fan control speed switch failed.
General Comments:
Fast truck, lots of room, looks cool, lots of problems I think for a newer truck.
I wish I would have bought a Chevrolet Duramax; this truck is not great for pulling loads everyday, not even small ones.
I used the truck daily for 1 year transporting appliances, pulling a small 16 ft utility single axle trailer, pulling no more than 2000 lb. Within 1 year, my rack and pinion and bushings needed replacement.
Great truck for a soccer mom, but not practical for a reliable hauler, or a work truck. That's just my opinion. I bought a Ford F550 diesel for my hauling and for work.
I have the crew cab with the 4 foot bed, I really wish I had the 8 foot.
The front bumper is crap; I have had to replace it 2 times. If you even sneeze, it's dented, very thin plastic. I like a real bumper.
Other than that, it's been a good truck.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

I have a 2009 Nissan Titan extended cab pick up truck. It's great if you need a very light duty full size truck. Bought it when Nissan had their once a year blow out specials. On this truck it was a 5000.00 rebate and 5000.00 discount, bringing the cost before tax, license and crazy funny fees from the state of California to $17,999.00.
PROS.
Great, torquey, big V-8 engine.
Can beat most cars and trucks from the stoplight.
Great for a weekend warrior.
Great for hauling bikes and quads to the desert.
CONS.
Sucks up gas like no tomorrow.
Lightweight hauling only.
Depreciates like a rock. I couldn't sell this for more than 7000.00 now. So if you buy it, don't plan on selling it or trading it in... unless you give it away for cheap.
Not an everyday vehicle.
Sloppy drive train... you can feel it.
Very cheap paint.
Cheaper interior.
Shakey dealership when it comes to warranty work.
If you need a serious hauler or/and everyday driver... get a Ford or Chevy... but you better bring your banker with you... because those trucks are through the roof, and you will feel it on the 500.00 - 600.00 monthly payments you will be making for the next 6 years...
