2001 Oldsmobile Alero GLS 3.4L V6
Summary:
This car rocks!!!
Faults:
Absolutely Nothing!!!
General Comments:
I bought this car in May of 04.
I have never had a problem with it, and I have put 30,000 miles on it in little over a year.
I work for an auto parts company, so I happen to know a lot about cars.
Don't know what the problem is with all your cars, but maybe if you took good care of them, you would not have these problems.
I keep strict maintenance on my vehicles, and happen to LOVE this car.
It looks nice, rides nice, and I bought it with 35,000 miles on it.
If you shop around, you can get a good price on one.
If you all were smart enough, you would all check CAR FAX to see vehicle history before you pay an exorbitant amount of money for it.
I only paid 7,000 for mine, and I couldn't have asked for a better deal.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I agree whole-heartedly with the poster - I drive a 2001 Alero GLS that used to be my wife's car. She put 40K on the odometer with mostly in-town stop and go driving.
I have been driving it for about 5K and I drive mostly highway miles for my daily commute.
This car has had only one (1) problem, and it was the electric fuel pump, which was replaced under warranty. We also experienced the "rubbing" sound - it is definitely NOT wheel bearings, it IS the GOODYEAR tires. We put new BF Goodrich Traction TA's on the Alero and the noise went away.
This car gets 22mpg in the summer with the A/C on and almost 30MPG on the highway (no A/C). This has been a great little car so far, and I intend to drive it for another +60K before I get rid of it.
