Faults:

One of the Brake lights lost connection, but I fixed that. Some times it revs out different at 100 km it seems until it gets warmed up. Like I'll set the cruses on 100 km and it'll rev at 2250 rpms then it will drop to 1750rpms in like 5-10 minutes.

General Comments:

Buying this Car is most likely the best money I have ever spent. It handles like a dream, the steering is very tight and the acceleration is great. The seats are very comfortable and the back seats have a lot of leg room, the trunk is very large so you can fit almost any thing in there and if you ever happen to find that the trunk is to small the back seats split 70 30. The engine always seems to start even when I made the stupid mistake of not plugging it in when it was -30 out. I am pretty sure this car could stop on a dime with the all wheel disc brakes and ABS, and the trac control is very handy when the roads are icy. It's stock sound system is very good one, of the best stock sounds I have heard. All of this and you get the nice curves of the Aleros body. The back end looks great with the over sized oval tail lights, and the chrome trim around the windows really looks nice.

Faults:

I have had to replace the electric window attachment (piece that attaches the window to the motor) drivers side five times in a two year period. (Three times in a 2 month period). This included winter, when the glass fell completely into the door, and I was forced to drive home from work in 15 degree weather with the window fully down.

My blinkers were replaced (faulty and there was a recall).

I have replaced brakes several times, and needed new bearings this month.

Now my vehicle is shuddering to a stop at almost every stop-light. The vehicle will occasionally accelerate without gas pedal pressure (from starting) up to 45 MPR, and will not stop easily when applying pressure to the break. I was recently told this could be a CAM TILT SENSOR.

General Comments:

Although I do love the drive of this car, and find it is a comfortable vehicle, I cannot say I am pleased with the things that have been happening of late.

I would not purchase another one, and I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone either.

Faults:

It didn't take long for my wheels to bend. I did not know that just a little pothole would bend the wheels, so I am looking for wheels, but they are so expensive. Three of my wheels are bent. I have to put air in my tires every three days.

The dealer told me I needed brakes at 9,000 miles and instead of changing the pads, they changed the rotors and pads. It was under warranty, but I thought that was strange.

My radio also had to be changed.

The car runs well, but when the dealer told me that there was oil in my antifreeze, I brought it to someone else and found that it wasn't true.

Be careful of those dealers. They change things that do not need changing sometimes.

If anyone knows where I can get some wheels, post it please. I need reasonably priced wheels.

Faults:

We bought the car wit a window that wouldn't roll down on the drivers side. it was a simple afternoon to fix it.

ABS/Traction control lights would come on commonly. Turned out to be a bad design of the drivers hub, the wires were pulled out, they had been removed from there clip and hooked on a steering component. another afternoon fix.

Nothing else has happened. I would predict regular maintenance from now on, because everything seems to be functioning perfectly.

General Comments:

We LOVE this car. It is a good looking car, with a solid dohc I-4 connected to a smooth shifting transmission. It is as responsive and powerful as anyone would ever need.

It has wide tires which make it horrible in heavy snowed conditions. This can be easily fixed with winter rims and tires, because the wide tires for looks spread out the weight to far.

It seems extremely reliable, and we have heard dozens of stories of how good these cars truly are and how many owners love them. This is very reassuring, and if it was everybody put a review here the would be a vast majority of people as happy as I am.
