1983 Oldsmobile Calais Sport Coupe 5.0 307 V8

Summary:

A great LOOKING car.. not RUNNING

Faults:

HA!.. Where should I start?

Bought the car, and 3 days later the intake manifold gasket went out, anti freeze everywhere... they overhauled my braking system while they did that, and I got the car out, drove it out of the shop, and then it stopped... 2 weeks later, and 1500 bucks it was the turbo 350 tranny that went bad..

Again, drove it out of the shop, up to a friend's place, and it overheated... new water pump, new thermostat, new radiator, and it still overheated... only it started making a clanking noise... to this day the car sits.

General Comments:

Very sharp looking car. I have never even heard of another 1983 Olds Calais Sport Coupe.. it is white with T Tops, and a white vinyl top, Burgundy buckets with power, floor shifter and cluster sport gauges..

Rides great when it was driveable, and the T Tops were great the 2 days I took them off.

I own an Oldsmobile Cutlass, that I bought for 300 bucks and it has out lasted my Calais... I have a 82 Regal LTD that went from Maryland to Miami Beach and back in 4 days without problems... but yet the one I bought for the most money is sitting in a garage. The sad thing is I still wash it ;-)

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
