1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera FE-3 2.5 Liter - Tech 4
Summary:
They don't make 'em like THIS anymore!
Faults:
One of the ignition coils went out at 110,000 miles. I had them both replaced.
The fuel pump was replaced right before I bought it at 107,000 miles.
The headliner has started to fall in the rear corners.
A couple of flat tires, but that's not really GM's fault.
General Comments:
This car was bought from my Grandparents who drove it once a week and kept it in a garage.
The car is in almost-mint condition. It's black with a white pinstripe along the sides. There is no rust whatsoever.
Due to being equipped with the 2.5 Tech 4, the car isn't exactly a speed demon. I've made some "modifications" however and she'll pick up a little better these days. She's a VERY nice ride on the freeway at around 70 MPH.
Enormous trunk that could swallow three of four dead bodies.
Responsive steering.
EVERYTHING WORKS! I paid $500 for this car and I feel like a con-man. This is a beautiful car and in the time I've had it, she hasn't let me down.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I live in Newfoundland Canada, and I own a 87 Cutlass Ciera with 296,000 kms. In my opion it is the best car ever made, it has a 2.8 V6 engine, 4 doors and there is no rust to be found anywhere on the car despite all the road salt that is used in Newfoundland.
It runs like a new car and rides even better, it has lots of power and is very fun to drive. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a second hand car, if they're looked after properly they will last forever.
I have never had any major problems except for the rack steering went last month and that's the biggest problem to date I have ever had with this car.
Oldsmobile in my opinion made the best cars ever put on the road, and I am very sad to see their name being removed from General motors list of fine automobiles, but who knows maybe 20 years down the road they'll suprise us all and return to making quality automobiles.
