1971 Plymouth Fury III 360
Summary:
This is the best first car I owned
Faults:
The alternator was rebuilt.
Recored the radiator quite a few times.
Fixed with the engine timing to 10 degrees before top dead center.
Had the heads worked on for unleaded gas.
Transmission rebuilt twice.
Analog clock keeps breaking (its real hard to find a working one)
Both lower ball joints replaced.
Replaced the speedometer the old one made a chiming sound and a bouncy needle.
Air conditioning doesn't work.
Rebuilt the 2210 holly carburetor a few times.
General Comments:
Putting electric ignition on it was the thing I did.
Body still looks great for a 56,000 mile car.
Still has the spare tire from 71 with about 13.5 psi.
The dash is perfect.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
