Faults:

Transmission went at 200,000km-Had it rebuilt.

Transmission went again at 265,000km-Had it rebuilt again.

Alternator faulty at 276,000km.

TCM faulty at 265,000km-Had a re manufactured one installed.

Engine Computer faulty at 266,000km -Replaced with new.

Fuel Pump Failed at 272,000- Replaced with New.

Ball Joints Worn out at 276,000km.

A/C Doesn't hold Refrigerant.

Passenger Power Window track assembly broke at 258,000km- Replaced with used from scrapyard.

O2 Sensor Faulty at 260,000km -replaced with new.

Rear wheel bearings seized at 265,000km- Replaced with new.

Paint began to peel off on roof at 264,000km.

General Comments:

Personally, I LOVE this van. Despite all the other comments that people have posted, it's been quite trouble free (aside from the transmissions) and excellently reliable. It has only seen 4 winters, all the other years it was driven from Alberta, Canada to Arizona. Overall, it's got very minimal rust and the body is in pretty good shape (aside from the peeling on the roof). All parts that were replaced were ORIGINAL except for the rebuilt transmissions. Seats are comfortable, back bench seats rattle terribly though. Great heat and superb handling in ice and snow. Van rides amazingly for the age and still drives like a dream. Gas mileage is not too bad.

Faults:

After one year of ownership I had to replace the fuel pump, water pump, left and right ball bearings and shaft.

The transmission has been slipping, but it does not need replacing just flushing due to the high mileage.

I need to replace the brakes finally.

The rear wiper did not work when I purchased the vehicle, but I think the fuse is the problem.

The driver door does not close properly, I was told the door is not level.

The passenger side door lock button sometimes sticks in.

The sliding door lock does not always unlock automatically with the other doors.

The key does not open the driver side door anymore.

A few times the hood would not open after pulling the hood latch.

The gas mileage is not the greatest and that has become very expensive (approximately 20-22 miles per gallon combining city and highway).

General Comments:

Besides the minor problems I have listed this vehicle has been reliable, comfortable, roomy and overall just a blessing to me. I consider the above problems normal wear and tear because I have driven this vehicle through all kinds of road conditions on and off the highway.

Faults:

The previous owner replaced the transmission twice. I have had no problems.

The engine leaks oil on the transmission side. This is very messy on the back window and on the driveway. It uses about one quart every 500 miles.

Electrical problems have been the greatest problem. First the rear wiper quit. Later the driver's seat would not adjust properly. Later the readouts for MPG quit working. The break light stays on even after getting the brakes replaced. Then the radio quit working. This month the gages all quit. This means no odometer, gas gage, oil pressure, etc.

General Comments:

I like the size of the vehicle. Storage is a bit tight.

It has good acceleration.
