General Comments:
This car is wonderful. It's fast, it's fun, and it looks great. I bought this car through a friend of mine, and he rebuilt the motor. The previous owner thought the car was worthless because of a "blown" motor, but it turns out that the only thing wrong with it was a damaged piston ring. Other parts were replaced to strengthen reliability.
The car is fast. The only major problem with this car is that the transmission slips by just a bit. I think it's a good thing though. It's won me a couple of races in the back roads of town.
The transmission slip sky-rockets the RPM and when the gear catches on at wide-open-throttle at second gear, the car gets a super kick in the rear, and I get a good second-gear pickup. In the rain I almost lost control of the car because of this. The drive-train is FWD, and the tires were spinning totally out of control. The rain was hard, roads were slick, and the car moved sideways because the tires did not grip. The essence of power was never more apparent than those three seconds. The tires will be upgraded to speed rated tires soon.
I love this car, and I'm going to start spending tons of that green stuff they call money on it really soon, as soon as I come by some.
I do drive it carefully, only letting it loose whenever I feel it's absolutely necessary. That is, when I see a riced up honda right by me.
I've done a max of 130 mph on the highway without getting caught and the car handles beautifully. I've taken 90 degree turns with this car at 45 mph, without losing grip (I spun the rear out on purpose to give me oversteer).
Excellent FWD. Diamond Star Motors set a milestone when they built the Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser and Mitsubishi Eclipse.
First thing a person should do when they buy a turbo DSM is remove the turbo silencer. Makes the car sound so much better.
Long live DSMs!!!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I just bought my 1991 Plymouth Laser about three weeks ago, and let me say it was the best decision I ever made. The car has handling and acceleration to spare. For the cost of the car and how nice it performs, this is a really good buy. I hope to put ground effects and mags on it in the future, and get a stereo as well.
