Decent car for someone with some money to keep it running
Trans-Axle seal has gone twice, I replaced it when I first bought it and it just blew again two days ago!
Good car, reasonably good pick-up-and-go.
But it lacks in the mechanical point!
Handles pretty good, but it kind of feels like the steering wheel is loose.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

The worst car to own if you're broke
Transmission failed and had to be replaced.
Air conditioner worked for the first 6 months. And a new pump cost's almost 800 dollars.
Brakes squeak constantly. I have replaced mine 3 times.
It leaks oil.
It leaks transmission fluid.
Gages stop working and I have to hit the dash to make them come back on.
Fuel pump went out, therefore the timing belt and all the valves had to be replaced as well.
It needs a new muffler.
I have had it re-aligned 8 times.
Plastic on the interior is cracking.
Paint is chipping off.
I hate this car and would never buy another one again. Ever!

Good first car for students, but needs lots of maintenance!!
-Immediate oil leak after purchase
-Transmission had to be replaced at 30,000 miles $1000, had to fight Chrysler for them to pay half
-AC went out at 40,000- I recharge it every few months b/c it's cheaper than getting fixed
-Head gasket blew at 80,000 miles
-over heated twice in past 6 months $1000 total
-Replacing brakes constantly and grinding noise frequently
-Paint chipping
-There seems to be a little bit of an opening in the window, I roll it all the way up, but air still gets in somehow
-Really bad gas mileage, about 180 miles a tank, every time I take it in, I'm told there is nothing wrong with it, it sucks b/c gas is expensive!!
-Drives really loud, like a diesel
-Had to replace all the belts, radiator
-Paid more to fix it than what it's worth!
-However, I have had this car since I turned 16 (now 22) and it has gotten me through high school and college somehow.
-Great room for one person
-Car can really fly!!!

Good for a few years, but get rid of it once the problems start because they'll never end
The brakes wear out very quickly, I've replaced them 3 times since I bought the car.
The head gasket blew at 101,000 miles. I ended up replacing the timing belt at the same time since it was also bad.
The rear main seal went out at 115,000 miles.
The windows don't seal very well on this model. Driving down the freeway I'll suddenly get a draft of air coming into the car.
Air conditioning motor went out at 80,000 miles.
Speedometer started failing just after I bought the car, the dealer replaced the chip for it at no cost to me.
The check engine light comes on occasionally due to a faulty EGR valve, then it will go off after a few days on its own. Very weird and annoying.
Other than the problems listed above, I've actually been very happy with this car. I like it a lot more than the Geo Metro I had previously.
The car handles great on curves and has a lot of pick up and go to it.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I can totally relate to this review! My car had almost identical problems with it at the same times.
My trans went twice - once at about 25K miles so it was fixed free, but again at about 60K miles and fixed under extended warranty.
Head gasket went bad around 40K miles, extended warranty to the rescue again.
Brakes are horrible - always squeaky since I drove it off the lot.
A/C went bad after 1 year - replaced compressor and patched hole in coolant lines - extended warranty. A/C went bad again about 80K miles, but I'm not about to shell out $1500 to fix it since extended warranty is over.
The best thing about it was the extended warranty that I purchased with it, and that it was a light car with good gas mileage. I usually got between 320-350 miles per tank of gas.
