2002 Pontiac Aztek
Summary:
Azteky-Teky!
Faults:
I love my Aztek, but just within the last two weeks water has started leaking from the roof into the car on the passenger side. From the right of the rear view mirror to as far back as the front passenger's seat belt, the headliner is soaked. The floor and passenger seat is wet also. Twice this week just the headliner above the door was wet. I have an appointment with the dealer on Thursday. The car was out of warranty last July, but I only have 38000 miles so I'll see if I can get this covered by warranty as this should not be happening. The dealership said they would pull any bulletins before I come in. Anyone else experience this?
-Driver's Window Dropped into Door, Broken Motor Piece, replaced under warranty.
-Mysterious thumping noise coming from back tires. Sounded like the thumping of ABS. Dealer resurfaced rotors and didn't help. Sound went away eventually.
-Back hatch doesn't pop up in the winter. Door is too heavy for opener when it is cold. Many times I will have to be standing at the hatch and open as I push the button on the remote.
General Comments:
Overall I really like the car.
Very comfortable roomy interior.
Does well on log trips or carrying loads of plants from the nursery.
The only downfall is the hatch.
Or that not many people like the outside. Oh well, their loss!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

The only problem I have have had with mine is a front wheel bearing at 75,000km. Now I have 100,000km and have not had to replaced anything else, even the brakes. I feel bad for the people who have had problems. This vehicle gets great gas mileage and has the best ride. There is also lots of cargo space.
