1987 Pontiac Bonneville LE 3.8

Summary:

Best car I have ever owned!

Faults:

Transmission failed at 180K.

Window regulator tape failed on the two front windows.

Ignition module failed at 185K.

Transmission lines presently leaking at the radiator; will replace.

Starter failed and rebuilt at 190K.

General Comments:

This car has respectable pick-up considering it is the loaded luxury edition.

Exceptionally roomy interior for up to five with console shifter.

This car has the best, most comfortable ride of any car I have ever driven, and excels on the highway with the combination of good seats and soft suspension.

As you can tell by the list of parts replaced, I have decided to keep this car for another 20 years, and am currently scouring classified ads for another donor.

1987 Pontiac Bonneville LE 3.8L V6

Summary:

This is the best car I have owned.

Faults:

When I first got this car (a gift), the radiator had to be replaced due to a leak around the transmission line connector.

I had to replace a headlight bulb (routine maintenance).

The tilt steering pin snapped due to me lifting myself on the steering wheel (my fault).

General Comments:

This is a great car. The car has started more than once at minus 40 degrees Celsius without being plugged in.

The car has excellent pickup and fuel mileage.

The car is very roomy and comfortable even when every seat is full.

The trunk is huge. I had 2 10" sub woofers in the trunk and still had plenty of space for everyday life.

The car is very classy and sleek.

1987 Pontiac Bonneville 3.8L

Summary:

Seemed like a good deal at first

Faults:

The transmission on this car went out at about 31,000 miles. I had to have the radiator replaced, the whole suspension system is in dire need of repair. The car needed to be painted when I bought it. The timing gear also had to be replaced. And recently the brakes were replaced also. Aside from these, everthing else has been maintenance.

General Comments:

This car has decent acceleration. I've found that it gets around 13 mpg in the city and around 25 on the highway. The seats can only move forward and backward. The inside is very roomy and the trunk is pretty large too. All in all, I like this car a lot, but I will have to get rid of it soon because it is quickly showing its age.

1987 Pontiac Bonneville LE 3.8 V6

Summary:

Great car

Faults:

The engine kept shutting of and the computer had to be replaced and that' probably because the car wasn't used for a few years.

The antenna is broken and the radio won't eject the tape.

It takes a long time for the front passenger window to go up.

Driver's seat broke, but it's not a big deal.

Passenger's visor broke. The wires ripped apart so the light doesn't work.

Battery had to be replaced.

Brakes had to be changed.

General Comments:

Great car.

Driver's power seat.

Nice speakers (a lot of bass)

Starts every time, but it's having a hard time starting when it's really cold (but eventually it starts).

No other problem other than the ones mentioned above.

Very roomy. Fits up to six (6) people.

1987 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3.8 liter V6

Summary:

High class, sporty luxury automobile for 04

Faults:

Nothing this car should be in a car hall of fame. I mean Jesus nothing can harm this vehicle. The only fault I have encountered is the unbelievable slow window speed, (it takes up to 3 minutes to roll up your windows).

General Comments:

If your looking for a show car this is the one for. Not only is the Bonneville perfect for adding custom add ons, it also comes standard with one of the hardest hitting stock systems in the world. It pushed 135db at the dukes sound off. I added aqua neons throughout the vehicle which really looks nice on the street since the car is maroon it matched perfect. Also a great winter car, it cuts through ice like a hot knife through butter.
