1995 Pontiac Bonneville SE V6

Summary:

Overall, it's a great car

Faults:

I bought this car from my parents, who bought it from my grandparents, and we have only had 2 really expensive repairs.

My parents put a new transmission in ($2,300) at about 100,000 miles.

I just put a new engine in it for $1,500.

It has had a few minor repairs such as:

-A leaking oil pan ($200)

-Leaking transmission lines ($80)

-Leaking coolant/antifreeze ($80)

-Flat tire (free)

My Bonneville's paint job is holding up amazingly well for a car that's 13 years old. All the rust spots on it would add up to the size of my palm (if that!)

General Comments:

I love the way it rides and I hope I don't have to give it up for a long time!

It's the most comfortable car I've drove so far.

1995 Pontiac Bonneville 3.8

Summary:

It has been very dependable since I have owned it

Faults:

Plastic manifold problem where the anti-freeze had got in the manifold, but I caught it before it became a serious problem. I found someone to fix it for 500 dollars. Other than that, have had no serious problems with the car..

Black exterior charcoal gray leather interior, power sunroof and it still sounds like a new car when you start it up! I love this car.

General Comments:

This car handles very well in the winter and in the summer.

Very sporty with the rear spoiler and black paint; still looks good.

Car still in very good condition considering the age of the car.

I have people ask me to sell them the car everywhere I go, and I have no For Sale sign in the car.

1995 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI 3.8 series supercharged V6

Summary:

Reckless

Faults:

Has gone through one engine that had to be completely replaced, two transmissions, belts slip often, radiator and block leaks, oil leaks, fuel leak, exhaust leak, electrical failure, shocks and struts.

If you can imagine it, this car has broken it, probably twice...

General Comments:

Fast! Handles beautifully, but with high maintenance costs.

Also very poor on gas mileage.

1995 Pontiac Bonneville SEEi 3.8 supercharged

Summary:

Amazing CAR with SPeed

Faults:

Water pump, battery, alternator, harmonic balancer, and ac compressor.

General Comments:

This car is and amazing car. Start and drive doesn't really ask for much except to be maintained. My dad had a similar model except that it was a 92, that thing had 268,000 miles on original engine and transmission. I don't know what can be driven that much these days. Overall this is an excellent car for the winter and for mostly highway driving, however the city driving causes the gas mileage to go around 15 to 16 mpg not that impressive, but if I do highway and city mix I average around 25-28 mpg not too bad for an old car.

1995 Pontiac Bonneville SLE 3.8L V6

Summary:

This car has sporty looks, is comfortable, and has been very reliable

Faults:

Head gasket blew at about 210,000 miles.

General Comments:

I've had this car for 11 years and have had almost no problems at all. Just routine maintenance and replacing of a head gasket is all that I've had to do to keep this beautiful car running fine.

This car has some decent power from its V6 engine. (240hp with 275 ft/lbs torque) My previous 4-cylinder car had trouble keeping up with normal traffic, but not at all in the Bonneville. I also put a Flowmaster muffler on it and is often mistaken for a V8.

I get about 30mpg highway and 26mpg on the road... very nice for such a large vehicle. There's plenty of room inside for long-distance. The leather seats are very comfortable, too. All in all a very smooth ride.

1995 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi 3.8 liter supercharged V6

Summary:

Pontiac driving excitement at its best!

Faults:

The battery was corroded badly when I first got the car so it occasionally caused the car not to start. It had an oil leak in the line to the oil filter and the oil pan.

General Comments:

I loved this car! It had extremely low miles for a 1995 and it looked great. It had all the options it could possibly have and was great. Unfortunately two weeks ago I was in a severe accident and my car was totaled. Not my fault luckily, but the car is gone. Now I have a 1999 Grand Am GT.
