Want a fun and unique sports car? Consider a Fiero GT. Although they are now all at least 17 years old, they still perform and look like a newer car. Lot's of fun for the money.

A great dependable 80's 2 seater that weighs next to nothing and is fast as hell
Needed hydraulic work on the clutch within the first month after I bought it.
Recently backed out of my garage worrying about the rear panels too much that I forgot about the mirror, so I hit the drivers side mirror and broke the bolts off (luckily no damage to the mirror)
I was driving around with my girlfriend in the middle of summer recently after my Conquest blew up, and I was driving out towards my grandfathers house. On the right side of the street I was on, were houses going along the side, one of them I saw a beautiful little silver car, I pulled the emergency break and pulled in. My girlfriend was screaming "Tyler what the heck are you doing!" Without responding, I got out of the car and went to look at it, before my very eyes was a Pontiac Fiero, a beautiful 80's 2-seater car that was in immaculate condition. After driving by it over 5 times, I finally went up to the door, and asked how much they were wanting for it, and after them saying only $2500.00 I could not refuse. I bought the car, still own it as of now. It has some power, and is all I need for now, especially with the nice v6 in the back of the car.
From what I've heard, its the fastest and most rarest stock Fiero found even today.

Hi I don't know much about this as I'm going to purchase my dads it has 39,000 orinal miles, but there is this problem with linkage it was put in wrong..how I don't know can any one tell me what this is all about?other than that is a trans leek might be seal... real mint condition been in garage and pampered started once in a while, but still starts right up I really like to know what to do thanks .....lorrie.
Hey everyone I am about to buy a 88' fiero and its for $2500 and has 98000 miles... is that a good deal?? and I also hear that they are not good cars, but I like it... i hear that the engine is hard to get to and just over all I would be wasting my money on a pieace of crap?? I need a honest opinion on the overall car!!!
Although I'm not a Fiero expert, I have read many times that the later models (like the one you are considering) are the best built and most reliable. It was a cliche, once GM got something right they killed the car.
Don't hesitate! '88 fieros are a good bargain. Even 'nowadays most cars don't have a Lotus-tuned suspension and slalom speed of 64mph. And Fiero does have all of it.
Those who take it as a piece of crud are wrong, I think. But do not expect effortless ownership. Fiero wasn't flawless when it was new. And now it's nearly 18 years old. It WILL make you do you some work. As any old-timer car does...
But... Maybe if you want a trunk space you'll need one more car. I think GMC Suburban will be the ultimate solution :-)
I think we can safely say that "little Tyler" is nowhere to be found... just ask his girlfriend...

I appreciate your position, but this is not a daily driver it's something special you drive on occasion.
