1989 Pontiac Firebird GTA 5.7 Gasoline
Summary:
GREAT GM Product
Faults:
The only thing I've had to have worked on was the turn signal arm, a piece inside of it became bent and was hard to make it touch the contacts to turn it on going either direction. My uncle went in after being told it was shot and found that is was just bent, and he re-bent it saving me hundreds of dollars.
The only other thing is that it runs a little warm, but was told that these cars are notorious for running warm. A Chip from summit racing can be installed to kick the secondary cooling fan on sooner, and so I'm going to have to look into that and see if it fixes the problem.
General Comments:
It is very, very quick to accelerate.
It runs great since it has always been so well maintained.
It turns heads and is admired by many-I know that because I'm always getting asked if I'd like to sell it.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

"I can't stand this GM. I bought it for $1200 because I was in need of a cheap car"
Well, it's a cheap car cause it's been abused and trashed! I would think that most of these signes would have been very noticeable before you bought it...
