General Comments:

A great little car. I have written about my 1999 unit and wrote that if they still made it I'd buy another. I landed this one which had never seen winter 2 months ago. Price was 3,200$ This unit is the 4 cylinder, much more power than the 3. The wife loves it!

Nice colour (purple) and it was in mint condition, except for a small dent in the roof caused by a branch.

Works very nicely for my small 4 person family.

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this car at all.

General Comments:

Nice little economic car. Great for zipping around in the city. But I feel cramped in it sometimes. Manoeuvring at slow speeds can be hard with the absence of power steering. I find that because of the high-back bucket seats, there are considerable blind spots. The lack of cruise control and the inability to stretch while driving is discouraging me from any attempt at a long distance road trip with this car.

Faults:

1. Broken fan mount at 120000 Km.

2. Corroded injection resistor at 160000 Km.

3. Failed water pump at 355000 Km.

4. Failed windshield washer pump at 325000 Km.

General Comments:

My Firefly is extremely reliable. For example, this car still has (at 360000 Km) the original rear brakes.

Fuel economy is also excellent. On the highway I get about 55 miles per gallon.

The steering is nimble.

Faults:

The interior is falling apart.

The doors leak sometimes, and it makes a lot of noise at high speed.

General Comments:

This car looks alright, and handles really well for what it is. It gets a lot out of the little engine because it's basically made out of plastic.

It's great for city travel, but high way travel isn't fun. It's really loud at high speed, and it's fuel mileage suffers (it's geared for the city).

Still it's cheap, and relatively fun to drive.
