1994 Pontiac Grand Am SE 2.3 Liter Quad 4 SOHC
Summary:
One of the BEST choices around!!
Faults:
I replaced the catalytic converter at 175,000 miles.
The lock clips in the tilt steering wheel have broken twice since I owned it.
I replaced the starter coil at 175,000 which was very costly, it would have been LOTS cheaper had I not gone to the dealer ship.
I have replaced the shocks & struts recently at 193,000.
I have replaced the lower ball joint at 193,000.
I have owned the car for almost 5 years and spent less than 1,200.00 on repairs and maintenance including a FULL set of NEW Michilen Tires !!
General Comments:
The car is quick for the size motor it has, as well as a smooth ride, it is a little soft in the corners, nothing major. The ABS system in the car has saved my family & I on quite a few occasions.
As well as superb performance & transmission, the car runs better than any car I have ever owned, even after being a rental car for 5.5 years this car still runs like it was somebody's baby!!
I would suggest this vehicle to anybody who would like a reliable vehicle, please make sure it was well taken care of first!!
My car & it's performance, still stuns mechanics, and friends & family to this day!!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I agree with you my grand am has had the falling go wrong with it. every thing that has to do with the front driver side wheel, heater-core, radiator hoses, starter, fan motor, front brakes, calipers, rotors, pads, rear shocks, front wheel bearings, control arms, complete exhaust system, fog light, and THE ENTIRE ENGINE. and more i just can rememeber.
