1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT V6
Summary:
Another GM tragedy
Faults:
I bought this vehicle from a Mom and Pop dealership with only 1 previous owner. Within the first week I had it the belt needed replaced and the battery went dead.
Now I have this serious clunking noise when I turn corners.
The dealership insists that all Grand Am's have this noise.
My volume knob doesn't work, I need to use the one of the steering wheel.
The driver's side car window doesn't always go up and down smoothly.
General Comments:
I really like the look of my Grand Am, but next time I will buy a car that is more practical than sporty.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I'm not sure about that noise when you turn, but check your power steering fluid level ASAP. I've had a leak twice on my '99 SE and both times I had weird noises when turning. Avoid having to replace the power steering rack ($$$) like I did the first time.
