Power Steering Pump

Minor upholstery damage.

General Comments:

So far been a very reliable car.

It was a one owner before me and was taken to the dealer for all maintenance, and was very well cared for.

Faults:

The water pump had to be replaced at 235,000 miles.

The car has numerous cosmetic defects, both interior and exterior.

General Comments:

This car had 228,000 miles on when I purchased it for $200.

Considering the mileage on this car, it is nothing short of amazing. It gets 32 mpg on the highway, and doesn't even burn oil!

Handling in snow is *excellent*. We had a lot of it in Duluth, MN this past Winter. In snow, this car was the most sure-footed of any car I've owned or driven.

For the money, it was a steal. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Faults:

Alternator went out 165,000 miles.

Ball joint out 166,000 miles.

Coil pack replaced 175,000 miles.

Fuel pump replaces 177,000 miles.

Door handles replaced 2X.

Front seats - shredded.

Engine fan replaced 2005.

General Comments:

Once upon a time, this car was tight.

Too loaded. Automatic seat controls left me lopsided when they went out.

Faults:

Alternator.

Rear Main Seal.

Clutch.

Gauge Cluster (Fuel Gauge, Speedometer, Tachometer)

Brakes.

Plug Wires.

General Comments:

Before I start, Keep in mind I only spent 150 dollars on this car. Granted it needed much attention and care, it was 150 dollars well spent.

I did install a new alternator, and brakes, but I am not willing to change the rear main seal. I will just continue to put about a case of oil per week into the engine. As it drips out onto my driveway. As long as I keep the correct amount of oil in the car it runs better than most of the cars I have owned.

As for the gauge cluster, the Grand Prix's with digital gauges are known to malfunction for some odd reason and they are very hard to find (That also work) in a salvage yard, so I just replaced them with the less sophisticated needle gauges from a base model grand prix.

Brakes and plug wires are no surprise for any car reaching the 150,000 mile marker so I can't complain about that.

As for everything else the car is very comfortable, very stylish as for the interior design, except for the hideous tan color inside, gray is more suitable to my likings.

The car handles like a dream, Very tight handling and its not at all "Boaty", also in the snow, it will pass a 4X4 anyday, Unfortunatly I have not been able to kick the rear out in the snow to powerslide (Just for fun, in the safety of an empty lot of course)

In my opinon, if your looking at a Grand Prix By all means Go for it.

Faults:

The first thing that I had to fix on the car was its alternator.The old alternator was completely shot and wouldn't charge the battery at all.

The second thing that had to be replaced was the battery. The battery was still in decent shape but was really corroded and I thought it best to replace it immediately then wait until it left me stranded.

The paint was already chipping when I bought it so the continual chipping of paint didn't surprise me.

The driver's seat has five tears in it.

The back trunk lock needs replaced.

The brakes need replacing.

General Comments:

This car is awesome. This car is my very first car. The handling it has is great. The ride is offers is very, very comfortable. The spacious design of this car can easily fit myself and four friends with relative ease and comfort. The seats are also comfortable and are comparable to the feel of the first touch of a couch when you come home after a hard days work.The only draw back to the ride is that the air conditioner is somewhat weak. The power that this car offers is adequate. The 1993 3.1 liter,v-6 Lumina engine in it offers a great ride without compromising fuel economy. And, for a high schooler that means a good deal. The trunk in it has room for whatever you could think to put in it. Overall this car is a great buy and a fun ride. As in this is my first car if you had any comments they would be greatly appreciated.
