Replaced the computer at 185,000 miles.

Replaced the alternator at 200,000 miles.

All 3 Coil packs replaced at 210,000 miles.

Replaced all 4 struts at 245,000 miles.

$50.00 pr./Front $100.00 pr/Rear.

Replaced transmission at 245,000 miles.

$500.00 Transmission was used from a salvage yard, it cost $250.00, the seals, oils, and misc. pieces cost another $250.00.

Door handles are replaced every 2 years, due to stress failure.

$80.00 pr.

These are the prices of doing all the work on this vehicle my self. I have not paid a mechanic to do this work, you can expect to double the prices to have a mechanic do the work for you.

General Comments:

I love this car, I have and will buy more Pontiac vehicles.

This is a very mechanic friendly car, most mechanical tasks are a breeze, and I am not a pro mechanic.

Great gas mileage.

Very comfortable seats, very adjustable.

Prices of parts are very reasonable.

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this car since I got it.

General Comments:

This car is an Import killer! It will beat any car off the line, plus it will out handle it.

This car sound awesome if you put high flow mufflers on it.

Faults:

The transmission had to be completely replaced.

The starter went out just recently.

The seats ripped in one spot.

The seat belt is ripped, and the dealer wants $100 to fix it.

The back seat is sun faded and flaking off in the back.

The paint has chipped off in some places and is very, dull.

Leaks a lot of oil.

General Comments:

This car is much like driving a boat, the turning radius and turning response is horrible, there is no going around corners fast at all with the extremely light rear end.

The engine is fairly decent, with 132,000 not much has broken except the starter.

Very, very under powered cannot keep up with many other cars.

Faults:

I bougt this car from the original owner, who I knew when they bought it.

The alternator has been replaced several times (too much electronic stuff)

The roof liner sags, I got a temp fix from the auto store.

Valve cover gaskets leaking.

Something going on with left front end.

General Comments:

Great car! I wasn't real impressed with it when it was brand new, but now that I have been driving it I love it.

Powerful enough, better than my Prelude.

I hate the digital gauges though. I'm going to replace them with analog from a '92 grand prix.

Best mileage of all the cars we own, including my son's Toyota.

Faults:

Head gasket blew requiring complete engine overhaul.

Rear calipers are poorly designed constantly requires maintenance.

Digital dash broke down.

Car stalls after driving long distances or when car is warmed up.

Hard to start occassionally.

Door handle on driver's side has snapped off.

General Comments:

Piece of crap. I wish I never bought it, I know it looked cool when I first bought it, but now I regret it. Can't wait to get rid of it. Poorly built and terrible quality. I will say that for about 2 years though this car did not have many problems other than the routine maintenance. Avoid, avoid, avoid at all costs.
