Faults:

Barely anything haha.

The only thing that comes to my mind is a thermostat (it still heats up a little but never goes above 220), tires and brakes replaced (as with any car), a new battery, and most recently I've only had to replace the light bulbs.

I am disappointed, however, with the paint. For 1991, GM had a problem with it's white paint/clearcoat combination, and my clearcoat is peeling on the hood, roof, and trunk. It's not too noticeable, though, because the car is white.

It does need to have the wheels aligned, though.

My only complaint: I don't have airbags : (otherwise I'd keep this car forever.

General Comments:

This is my first and current car and I have to say, the day I get a new car will be a sad day for me. The GP is so unbelievably comfortable, sporty, rather luxurious, fast, good-looking, and an all-around spectacular automobile.

The seats are UNBELIEVABLE. They form right around your back and bottom and offer the most support of any car I've ever been in, regardless of year, make, model, trim, etc. They feel like they were made for your body only. I just can't get over it. It's relatively quiet inside the cabin, although the passenger window whistles and there are a few rattles, but come on the car is 18 years old. The suspension is as smooth as an old Cadillac, but has good handling.

Even though it's only got the Quad 4, the car actually produces more horsepower than the V6, and the fuel mileage is surprisingly modest (20 city/30 highway). The GP will take off and if you're not careful, you'll be speeding before you even know it. Once you hit 40, oh man does it take off even more.

The stereo in this car is superb. The acoustics are outstanding, any station sounds like HD radio, and even the tape player sounds great! However, when it's cold out, until the car warms up, my speakers have a static sound coming from them. It only lasts for about 5 minutes, and the sound isn't there if the system is turned off.

I absolutely love this car and if you ever have an opportunity to buy one, I urge you to. You won't be disappointed.

BTW: The combination glove box is a nice touch haha.

Faults:

New computer was put in.

Starter was replaced.

Alternator was replaced two times.

Timing Chain Broke.

Valves Bent.

Cylinder Heads replaced.

Coolant Hose broke so it was replaced.

Driver's side window gets stuck.

Fuel Injector & Fuel Pressure Regulator O-rings replaced due to gas leak.

Driver's side Door Handle broke, Passenger's side needs to be adjusted.

Temperature sensor was replaced.

PVC Valve hose was replaced.

Fuel Pressure regulator was replaced.

Vacuum hoses cracked due to age, so they were replaced.

Engine Torque Struts were replaced.

General Comments:

When the car had problems, it still ran and got me where I needed to be.

To me it is good on gas for its age and what car it is.

Has a good ride.

Dash lights, etc. (red/orange) look cool.

Comfortable seats, especially the back seats.

Good interior room.

Nice sounding engine and exhaust.

I like the dual outlet exhaust pipes.

Cool honeycomb-looking taillights.

Very nice paint job for a 1991 car.

Lots of trunk room.

Easy to get parts for engine.

Okay handling.

Cool spoiler.

I like where the door handles are, blends in with door.

Dash set-up is awesome!

Annoying to work on, but worth it.

The car is enjoyable to drive.

Faults:

Fuel rail and injectors the first night it was home. $250.

Oil crankshaft position sensor? $350.

General Comments:

This car is quick, and rides good for me.

I'm tall - six foot two, it handles good, sometimes a little floaty, but good.

The door handles are crazy, and the speakers in the doors are crazy to get out. The parts are easy to find, it's finding someone who will be wililng to work on a 3.4 that is the problem. I love this Grand Prix, and have even thought about trashing this one and getting one with a 3.1.

The gold rims are cool, but I still haven't decided if a 3.4 is REALLY what I want to deal with for the next few years. But I would definitely buy another one.

And what is up with the brakes?? That caliper in the back is FOREVER getting stuck... OMG.
