Faults:

Brakes seem to be a major problem.

3.4 liter v6 is a higher maintenance.

Front shocks struts needed new mounts.

Drive shaft bearings replaced.

Headliner fabric falling down.

Records show that the transmission was replaced.

Engine Control Module needed to be replaced.

Rewired some circuitry involving some emission control sensors.

Ignition control module, and coil packs burned out leaving me stranded at work.

General Comments:

Very comfortable ride.

Other 1990 to 1995 Grand Prix owners hesitate on challenging me to a race because of the 'Grand Touring Package 5-speed' emblem.

The interior has no burn holes, tears, stains, or broken moldings.

Everyday I look forward to taking my car out for a drive, and miss my car when it needs repair.

Faults:

The head gasket blew around 126,000 miles. This was a very costly and time consuming repair.

The computer needed replaced as the car would stall often.

Temperature and gas light are constantly on. I replaced the instrument cluster, but this did not fix the problem. I am told that it is an electrical problem with the car.

Odometer began to act up constantly. I replaced the instrument cluster and this went away.

Check engine light comes on periodically, I think the alternator or battery might be at fault.

Rear brake calipers tend to bind.

Door handles are very weak and break when pulled on too hard. Repair is not very cheap.

General Comments:

I love the way this car drives and handles. It is roomy and very comfortable for those long drives. It is beginning to acquire many miles, and the car seems to be falling apart. I have been told that GM had many of the same problems with this same car, so it is not just mine alone. I would recommend that the car be sold before it gets into higher mileage. It seems many of these same problems will begin to occur sometime after the car rolls over 120,000 miles. Many of these are mechanical problems that might occur with any car with higher mileage. Overall I would buy another Grand Prix because I love the car dearly, I would just sell it before I reach the higher mileage. As with any car, they began to show their problems with age.

Faults:

Emissions was screwed up when I bought the car, its now fixed.

Coolant Sensor went out, it runs fine now.

When I turn my turn signals right, they don't really stay on for some reason.

When I roll my driver side window down, it sticks and doesn't go back up for 10 min??

General Comments:

I love the car, excluding some minor defects I had with the car. If you're looking at my survey rite now and ur thinking about buy a car like mine, definatly go for it, Pontiacs last a long time if you take care of them, my seats are mint, my body is mint, rims are a little worn tho.
