Faults:

Well the car has been perfect, would not trade it for anything.

There is a slight problem with the fog lights, auto dash lights and bright lights. If one doesn't work, none of them will but I have it narrowed down to the manual light switch.

Also, the fact that the headlight lens falls off with the change of the weather and I have to replace the whole headlight housing.

Other than that, I love my Grand Prix.

Faults:

Lense fell off the front headlights twice. Had to pay to replace the whole headlamp assembly. Replacement headlamp assemblies have the same design defect so the problem will continue to happen.

Transmission problems.

Windshield wiper motor went bad after 1 year.

Radio display panel has gone bad.

Oil leak on the oil pan.

Fuel gauge broke after a year of ownership.

Problems with the electrical system - power windows, daytime running lights, door locks, etc.

Alternator went bad.

Steering wheel controls malfunctioning.

General Comments:

This car looks good but it is not very reliable. I thought by spending the amount of money that I did I would be getting higher quality but I was wrong. Seems like the American car makers still have not caught up with foreign car makers in quality and reliability.

Faults:

Air bag.

Solenoid.

Right rear strut.

Oxygen sensor.

General Comments:

Wonderful car, wish I had two, one for my wife, she adores it. Never had a car that I enjoyed so much.

Faults:

Both headlight covers have fallen off.

Weather stripping on driver's side door has been replaced twice.

AC had to be flushed and recharged.

General Comments:

This car is a dream. I love mine. No car is perfect and I understand that. Each vehicle has their own querks. This car is safe and reliable. It also looks great.

Mine is a 2 door and I love how it has that sporty look, yet tall people can fit in the back with plenty of leg room. No other 2 door has that quality. All of my friends love how smooth it rides. I love how it will get up and go. You get noticed in this car!

Faults:

Not much. There is a squeak from the front brakes, which seems to come and go. Also condensation in the headlights.

General Comments:

Rides great. I just went on a 1500 mile road trip, and never had one complaint.

Nothing.

General Comments:

My car is a 4 door, it was what I was looking for, a sporty performance car that would also be suitable for a family of 5.

Faults:

First off - even though year built is 1997, mine is a 1998 purchased in 11/97.

Numerous squeaks and rattles - according to the numerous dealers I've been to, this is normal. My Grand Am did the same thing. I just thought improved structural rigidity meant something...

Headlights replaced under warranty due to condensation on the inside - no big deal.

A/C blower motor replaced twice in two years. Once for a chirping noise and second time for chirping and the fact that the lowest two speeds stopped working.

Front brakes squeal - will go to the revised pads soon. Even with the TSB, the dealer says it's normal.

General Comments:

While I'm disappointed with the brake squeal and squeaks/rattles of the interior, I still like the car. Performance and looks are great. I'm concerned about the HVAC blower since it's been replaced once a year for the past two years.
